    A few questions about electronics...

Not sure if this is the right part of the forum to post this type of question, but I'm guessing it is...
Anyway, am I right in thinking that a DC circuit has no PF ie the VA and Watt values are equal? Also, a pure resistive load like an incandescent light bulb will have a PF of 1, right (on an AC circuit, of course)?

    yes to both

being slightly pedantic, the VA and Watt values are not _equal_ for a DC circuit as the VA value IS the Watts value.

Power factor applys to AC circuits only and is the ratio of real power to apparent power. You are confusing your equations mate....

The previous posts have answered the question, but post back if you want the maths behind it - there is only one equation - power-=V*I*PF, but in a steady state DC cct the PF is always =1 as there cannot be a reactive component.

Does PF differ when more load is applied at certain parts of the wave than at others? I guess that in a pure resistive load the same load would be applied at all parts of the wave, right?
