MSN Messenger sending messages whilst I'm offline (Pidgin)
Hi all
Now everyone knows about the millions of spam-style malware which spread themselves via sending messages to all your friends. Well today I got a text from two of my friends telling me I might have a virus which does just that.
However, the only computer I've had on all weekend is my laptop which runs ubuntu and pidgin exclusively, and that was in suspend at the time. So I'm rather confused to what has gone on.
Any ideas?

Change your password. These things are usually caused by people putting their details into a status checker to see who has blocked them.
Someone on my MSN list kept logging out and back in, sending me a strange link, then logging out and back in again. I told them to change their password and it stopped happening.
