    Lifeview tv card no sound

Hi, i have an ECS G900 laptop its in fine working order other than the tv card which is a lifeview, now i can receive tv picture ok but no sound either on broadcast or if i try a recorded program.
There are no other sound problems.
I am using windows xp pro as my operating system and windvr3 as the software for the tv card.
iI have tried the latest drivers from both ECS and Lifeview.
I have tried various options in the soundcard properties ie turning the aux channel on and off.
Any further help would be appreciated.

PS if this thread isn't in the right place can someone bump it to the right area
    thanks

I guess the lack of response might be due to not many people being familiar with an obscure TV card, running out-of-date software (no reason why they should be really). Your attitude probably isn't helping much either.

However, a quick google suggests that it's a common problem with WinDVR 3, you might want to downoad and install this as a first step if you haven't already.

Thank you captain cash for at least responding, there was never an intention to offend anyone i guess i was just anxious over there being no replies at all.... even if they had said it was a rare problem one they were no familiar with.
I am downloading from the link you gave and will report back when i have had chance to try it.
    Thanks again

No luck, seems there is no association between the tv card and the on board sound of the laptop.
So if i want tv it seems i will have to try a PCMIAA card or USB type

Have you tried reinstalling all the drivers for the TV card from scratch, if i remember correctly lifeview installs separate video and audio capture drivers.
