Can I use this RAM with this motherboard?

Having removed 2GB of Corsair DDR2-6400 from one computer due to stability issues, I was wondering if it would be compatible with another machine I have?

The computer is an ACER Aspire T671 and has a Micro-Star MS-7326 motherboard in it. I can't find ANY information out about this motherboard so have no idea whether or not I can stick the spare RAM in?

    Thanks as always.

Try is and see...the worst that can happen is a system halt upon the bios screen!

Should work, unless it was the ram itself causing the instability in the first place (bad ram)

Re: Can I use this RAM with this motherboard?

Have just looked and the RAM in there is 433MHz. Just in case - is it safe to put faster RAM in a board which doesn't support its speed?

    Thanks

use cpu-z to find out what kind of ram you are using

Re: Can I use this RAM with this motherboard?

Thanks but I know what RAM I'm using, but it's rated at 433MHz and I'm wondering if it is safe to put 800MHz in?

Should be fine, it will just run at the slower speed.
