Thread: cannot connect to internet

    cannot connect to internet

    i installed spore which crashes my computer, so when i restarted it said i was missing .exe files, so i use my boot cd to repair, which didnt help. then i reinstall xp and now i cant connect to the internet. my router and everything works, i think its my router. Please help!!!

    was your network card detected and installed properly? right click on my network places and go to properties then see if you have a local area connection

    1394 maybe... if that's the case then only firewire was installed.. you'll need to install your network drivers, if the nic is part of the motherboard then either use the cd that came with it or look on the manufacturer's website for lan drivers.
    either look on the actual motherboard for the model number or use something like cpu-z then enter that into google + lan drivers.

    ofcourse, you'll need a usb stick or something to get the files there...

    so my motherboard is model c19-a sli and all i do is google model c19-a sli lan driver? i cant find a lan driver update please help
