I would try 1280x720 - thats standard 720p and the TV should definitely be able to output at that. Try this first.

The max resolution could well be 1366x768 though, thats a common max resolution for 720p sets, but you would only really use it over VGA or DVI, not HDMI

Have you tried to Google for the manual? It should be able to give you details on what your tv will accept. I would start by setting a very low res, 640x480 & seeing what happens.

My DVI to HDMI cable worked a treat for my 8600 GTS to my old 720p RPTV.

You shouldn't need a PC channel, as the HDMI source should pick up the cable. What is your refresh rate set at? It could be too high for your TV to accept.

Re: Trouble connecting pc to hdtv

I have a smaller 19" Bush that I'm using a DVI to HDMI converter with no problem. It also has a VGA connector (the PC channel that you mention) that never worked well. However I just plug the hdmi cable in - switch the TV to HDMI 1 (I've got two HDMI ports) - then switch on the second monitor using my ATI driver control panel. The Nvidia control panel should behave in a similar way. I found once I enabled the second output it detected the TV correct max resolution/refresh rate and it just worked.

Just plug it in to your HDMI port on the tv and it should work fine.
