    HP LP2475w - two versions

I plan to buy a HP LP2475w but when checking on the More Computers web site I found they offer two different versions with different product codes and prices but seemingly the same specs. Product code KD911AT#ABU is £422.86 and product code KD911A4#ABU is £541.86. Both prices include VAT and the warranty is the same. I emailed HP support for an explanation but they simply said that one is a business model and the other a consumer version but surely there must be a some technical differences given that one costs £119 more? Any ideas?

Looking at the hp site, the only difference is in the terms of the warranty. Technically they are the same.

Thanks for confirming the specs are the same - I thought I had missed something. I couldn't find details of the business warranty on the HP site, only the consumer one, but the Morecomputers site lists them as the same which is why I was puzzled over the extra cost. What is the difference in warranty by the way, or do you have a link?

The only difference is that with the business one they may let you do a direct swap for a replacement, rather than requiring you to send it to them and wait for it to be repaired.

Re: HP LP2475w - two versions

It may be worthwhile buying your LP2475 direct from HP, as when I bought mine, I got a 10% off voucher code given to me (when I registered with them), meaning I got it for £388 delivered...

Yes, I was thinking of getting it direct from HP. That 10% discount voucher code is still active and quidco also offer 8% off. I'm not sure if I would get both discounts but its worth a try. Many thanks to you both for your advice.

Re: HP LP2475w - two versions

The monitor arrived this morning - the day after I ordered it - and HP have given me both discounts ie HP 10% and quidco 8%, so the total cost is £345. Result!!
