Re: GeForce 260 GTX Problem
Try plugging the DVI connection into the other port on the graphics card (do this while the PC is switched off).
Also the NVIDIA drivers, are they the latest ones from the NVIDIA site?
Re: GeForce 260 GTX Problem
Thanks for that - I've tried the DVI swapping (both power on and off) and I've downloaded the latest drivers from the nVidia site to no avail.
Does anybody think my PSU isn't pumping out enough juice?
Thanks again,
~A~
Re: GeForce 260 GTX Problem
yeah the PSU is fine. How did you install the drivers?
Uninstall old drivers through add/remove programs.
reboot into safe mode.
run a driver sweep
reboot back into normal windows
Install new drivers
reboot.
Re: GeForce 260 GTX Problem
Just a suggestion because of how many variables there are in a scenario like this, it may be worth trying the version before the latest drivers.
Also re-seating the card into the motherboard could be worth a shot (unlikely but possible) I noticed my gtx 260 was sitting half way out the board the other day! Turns out as I was putting my ram in with decent force the motherboard had enough flex to lever the graphics card out! Although nothing was affected apart from after it was re-seated, the vga bios extension prior to bios post now has less of a delay!
Just a few suggestions to try before going all the way through a re-install!
