How to connect a 2.5" laptop HDD to retrieve data
I have a dead laptop - won't recharge, no battery power left.
It's a Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile V5535.
All I need to do is retrieve some files from the laptop, but what will I need to connect it to a desktop PC to copy the data across?
I've already tried plugging it into another laptop so I could save off onto a USB pen but driver conflicts cause windows to fail to boot, is performing a windows recovery with the hard drive in question on the second laptop going to be the easiest method to fix this?
Any thoughts appreciated.

Boot in safe mode?
If it's sata the connector is the same as desktop drive.
You could get a USB case for it, or just a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter.
This is popular and very flexible:
