I have just built a new pc consisting of the following:
Windows Vista 64-Bit
Intel Core i7 950
Corsair Dominator GT 6GB (Running at 2000MHz)
NVIDIA Geforce 280
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5
I was playing some games for about an hour and I decided to feel the side of the case, which I thought felt pretty hot.
Because of this I decided to check the temperatures in the BIOS which are as follows:
Room Temp. = Roughtly 21-24 degC
System Temp. = 58 degC
CPU Temp. = 59 degC
MCH Temp. 54 degC
CPU Fan speed = 3040 RPM
Power Fan Speed = 4060 RPM
System Fan Speed = 1140 RPM
The system has an exhaust fan at the back and an intake at the front. The individual components which have their own heatsink fans are; graphics, RAM, CPU and PSU. All with their stock fans & heatsinks.
Are these temperatures normal for this kind of system? and if not what can be done about them.
Just as a side note when I was writing this post for the first time my system rebooted randomly. (First time its happened)
EDIT: Ok it seems to have started to randomly reboot for unknown reasons.
