Side buttons on a Razer Diamondback Mouse

Hi wondering if people with the Razer Diamondback can help me here. A couple of days ago I brought a Razor Diamondback upgraded to the latest drivers ect and everything seems to work fine except for when trying to use the buttons on the side of the mouse in games. The buttons themselves work outside of games but as soon as I try a game I can not get it to map the extra buttons or macros on the button will not work. Any help would be most welcome because apart from this issue I really like the mouse.

Hmmm... I got a Pearlescent one off a mate. Let Windows 7 install the drivers and i get:

Desktop it scrolls pages / forward and backwards on browser.
Game - only tested in L4D and i have set the left up button to be scope.

Maybe try setting them individually ingame?

As I remember you have to leave them as Windows button 4 and 5 otherwise games won't pick them up properly. So whichever side you're using check the software has them as buttons 4 and 5

I had a simmilar issue, I mapped the side buttons to "Q" and "W" and assigned those in-game.

Picks up mouse 4 & 5 fine here. Make sure you have the side buttons enabled in the Razer Control Panel Software.
