Epson Printer & Windows 98

Good Morning

I have the pleasure of dinner at my inlaws tonight - with the added bonus of trying to make my future father-in-laws rather aging desktop work with his shiny new Epson SX400 printer.
Preliminary check shows that the printer does not support Windows 98 - only XP etc.

Will I be able to make it work? Any thoughts?

If there are no drivers and utils available for download on the espon website then it does look like your out of luck and cannot install it in windows 98.

Cant you get them to buy a £75 ex corporate rig of ebay? Even comes with an Xp license.

You might get it to work with some of the emulation modes - but you won't necessarily be able to use all the printer's capabilities.

I picked up this for £45 for a mate who wanted a general purpose machine.
