On Without A Graphics Card?

I have a question, if I turn on my computer without a graphics card (and my mobo doesn't have integrated graphics) what will I be able to do. Will I be able to run Bios?

You wont be able to see anything, and you will get a beep error saying no display device.... How on earth can you get into the bios without a screen mate? Seriously?

But yes, as 0iD says it will more than likely just beep at you.

However, it depends whether the BIOS is set to halt on errors...

If you have an identical computer available, can you not just take it offline for 2 hours or so, plonk the GFX card in the new one and then alter BIOS settings, or just wait for your GFX card but that's the boring way

It is gigawatts but in the film it was pronounced jigawatts due to a screw up by the technical advisor guy..

and about the computer beeping, there's probably a way to set it so that it boots normally without a gfx card but for that you'd need to be able to see

I think it's more to do with soft and hard G's, also the original term Giga was always pronounced as Jiga.

Try it. (I was going to add and see - but of course you won't!) but just try it to find out what happens.
