Laptop Backpack

Hi all,

The place I work at uses a Alienware M17 laptop to demo our products.

This plus a small projector have to be take to demo's all across the UK.

They are currently using a monster of a Dell bag that is frankly making the Salesman lean to one side rather drastically !!

So has anyone had any good experience with high quality products that would solve this issue.

It would need to be able to hold a deep 17" laptop with power brick (not far of the size of a house brick actually) and a 20cm x 15cm x 5cm projector.

I am sensibly suggesting a backpack to even the load. I don't like the wheeled bags since I don't trust the laptop to work if it gets bounced around too much!

Any input is appreciated guys and gals.

I have one of these, which I use to carry my 17" dell laptop to work by bike. Perhaps not the most stylish of products but does the job really well. Had it 3 years and its still in good nick.

Google "kensington saddle bag" and I think you can pick one up for about £30.

How about this:


I use that backpack to carry my whole technicians' toolkit (laptop, power bricks x2, ext. HDD, etx.FDD, two rolls of handtools, more handtools, spare leads, mice, stacks of discs etc. etc..)

It's about 20KG of stuff and despite being totally full the rucksack has never let me down. It's fairly comfortable too having a comfortable strap with shock-absorbers.

I bought it from play.com for £36 but it gone up to £43 now. Still probably the cheapest considering that's inclusive of postage.

I have used one of their laptop messenger bags for years now and it has been great.

I'll look at the range and see what fits the bill.
