    So I need to defrag...

but most of the files on my C Drive are locked

I am looking for a bootable degrag software but haven't had much luck

I run Vista 64 and on the actual PC I have tried, Tune Up defrag, O and O Defrag and DiskTrix

I was going to try Paragon Total Defrag but I don't think it is X64 compatible

    Any advice?

Use the Windows defrag tool ?

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Re: So I need to defrag...

The Windows 7 defragger is pretty efficient/good IMO ( I know your using Vista). Theres one called JKdefrag (i think) which is 64Bit as well as multi-core supported. You could try that mate.

UBCD4Win or similar would be an option.

Re: So I need to defrag...

I got a Paragon Defrag disk last night and made it bootable and used that, it managed to defrag the 15% of my OS drive that appeared to be locked.

It also gave the option to sort my data, putting most recent at the beginning and other options but I opted out of those

Re: So I need to defrag...

Google for "IOBit Smart Defrag" This is better than AUSlogic and the best I have found. It defrags my drive to 0.00% fragmentation on its most intensive cycle.
