Speedfan issues
I have just bought a new case which comes with 2 3pin 120mm fans. I have plugged these into my motherboard and they are working ok. The only issue is that I cant adjust the speed of them. It detects the speeds etc but it wont let me change them. Any advice or any other programmes out there that will do the job?

Re: Speedfan issues
Not all fan headers on all mobo's allow for adjusting the speed of the fans plugged into them.
What motherboard is it?

Re: Speedfan issues
Its the gigabyte ma770 ud3. In the bios it has system fan smart speed control available but this doesnt actually seem to do anything to the speed.

Re: Speedfan issues
you have to go into the advance settings and change the controls cant remember exactly
goto configure > advanced
i think you need to change the PWM modes to manual you might need to try out the settings one by one

Re: Speedfan issues
hmmm one of my system fan headers will controll the speed and the other wont so if I were to buy a 3 pin splitter cable would that allow 2 fans from one header?

Re: Speedfan issues
Sorry i forgot i had posted here, one of my pc's is like that but yes that should work assuming the fans don't require too much current.
