Buy it off ebay BUT insist on a boxed product, and ensure the seller will transfer ownership/licence before you buy.
could also easily buy a lesser version (ie cheaper) then pay for upgrade via Adobe online.
has always worked for me
oh, and look on amazon marketplace. can sometimes get major buy this way, 2nd hand. Friend did it for CS3 from the US - worked out very cheap. Boxed, of course.

Yep, got the original one off e-bay and got stung. Did not recognise No. and did not get a refund. Now afraid of buying one.
If it's a full-time course you qualify for the student edition..
Even if it's not, check with the college and see if they have any deals?
