    Exclamation Help. Lines accross monitor...

Hi.. i have made a new computer about two weeks ago and i have had the same problem over and over again. The problem is that sometimes the monitor displays la series of lines going across the page and 3 columns of lines put closely together. Sometimes i dont have this problem.. for instance i dont have it now.. but sometimes it just stuffs up. I am assuming its a problem with the graphics card.. but i hope not because if it is i am in deep ****. My graphics card model is an Asus Ati 512mb 4870. Sometimes i get blue screens telling me that one of the graphic card drivers is looping but i remove the drivers and i get lines across my screen anyway. If you could please help then i would really appreciate it. Thankyou.

    Kind regards Valvo

is this seen only in the OS or do you get it in the boot and post screens as well. If just the OS then I suggest you remove any traces of drivers and grab the latest catalyst drivers and see if that helps. Some more info on the system and build is always a good idea in posts like this, makes it much easier for people to respond

This is a cross-posting. It would be helpful if you could keep this to one thread.

Can you swap in another video card to see if the system is OK with a different card ?
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.
