About LinkBacksI have a netgear nas with a simple x2 disk mirror raid. If I erase a file using a secure delete program will this delete/erase the data on both drives? or just the one where I can 'see' the file ?

Yes, RAID 1 maintains a byte for byte copy of the disk on both disks.

The RAID controller deals with all this - the OS is never aware of what's happening behind the scenes.
