I want to know why this is happeneing.

Basically ive been accusing MW2 of insane lag which makes the game completely unplayable! ive reset my router, ive unpluged my dongle, ive done virus scans - i want to know if whats happening in the game is just becuase of how **** **** **** ***** it is/has become or wether its my computer (bearing in mind other games are not affected)

Dont reply untill i have posted the link of an xfire video i will make in about 5 minutes

    Thanks.

That's no where near as bad as I imagined it would be. Honestly, the way you were describing it was as if the game was completely unplayable. I think I may have found your problem...

Re: I want to know why this is happeneing.

In most of my experience wireless+gaming=bad times. You can't beat a proper bit of cable. I'm guessing this is the problem since you mention a dongle which I assume (like the poster above) is a wireless thingy. However, if you are using a wired connection then I'm stumped! Odd that you say it only affects this game though. Maybe it just sends more packets of information that most which is choking a wireless link but I might just be making that up

Re: I want to know why this is happeneing.

But the problem is a recent thing so i cant be the dongle - its not a rubbish one either

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-N-Wir.../dp/B000WKXK00

ive played at least 20 hours with it and no problems... maybe a patch would fix the problem? if it can cope with a 20-40 people server on cod4 im sure it can cope with a 8 person free for all.

What you saw was good - after i finished the video i locked up for about 20 seconds going from killcam to the start menu to quit the game.

I'm thinking interference. If you're wireless and it worked A-OK previously, something has changed. Interference is your most likely culprit. Can you change channel ?

It's usually in the set up page of the router.

Sorted, lets see if that helps? can updating the firmware on the hub improve speeds?

Not usually, unless you're upgrading to something like ADSL2 or from b to g WiFi.
