    Help! Computer stalls!

    Hi everyone,

I was so immoderate in my appetites that I set the multiplier of my phenom II x720 to 18x hence my comp didn't boot.
I reset BIOS and it boot again, but for some reason it freezes all the time after just a few minutes.
It happens in Win XP, win 7 seems to be alright.
Do you think I damaged my CPU?

    My specs are:

    M2n32 sli deluxe
Above cpu with arctic cooling freezer pro rev.2
    radeon 5850
    FSP 600W GLN
    Sata 2x
    Ide 2x

    Thanks!

    CupofCare

Nose down, throttle up! (sorry, could not resist)

If the system didn't boot it is unlikely that the CPU got damaged, but stranger things have happened.

Are sure you reset your settings back to a completely stable state? It sounds like a system stablity problem, but if you reset your BIOS settings to default the problem should have gone away.

Thank you, I figured out where the problem was in my other thread, where I was discussing why I get low fps.
