The F3's are nice, just bought the 1Tb one myself, fast, quiet and reasonably priced (if you buy it from Scan )
Make sure you've got a spare SATA power connector on your PSU and a spare SATA port on your board.
You won't get a SATA cable with the drive (unless you buy it on Scan's today only offer) so make sure you've got one of those spare too.

Most s939 motherboards had SATA I, so you should be fine buying any SATA HDD out there.
But it'd be best to check that your board DOES have SATA controllers before buying, just in case its only got IDE...

Thanks guys I was looking at the same thing at scan and yes the mobo does have sata so i think it will be fine
arrrrghhh! I went to buy the HDD and for some reason the payment hasnt gone through, I chose to pay by paypal but scan sent me an email saying they havent recieved anything. Its strange since I have been buying games from the steam sale all week.
I had an order bounce from scan thismorning (placed last night but only processed thismorning) paid with card.
I have a feeling its coz of the bank holiday.
So I guess I have to wait till tuesday to make those payments
just for the record:
Some bios's on motherboards don't recognise certain sata drives, so occassionally you need to get a new firmware for the sata drive from the manufacturer, and flash the hard drive itself.
I had to do this many years ago on a S939 mobo and a seagate barracuda drive. It's pure unluckyness tho tbh
