Dell Laptop 2.5" Hard Drive Query

I've little experience with 2.5" IDE Hard Drives - does anyone know if I can plug this into a desktop computer - would a standard modex fit?

    Thanks

The easiest way is to use a usb enclosure.

Re: Dell Laptop 2.5" Hard Drive Query

Thanks, although all I want to do is grab everything from it before returning it to its laptop.

If I can't plug it directly into my desktop without having to get anything else I'll use a Live CD of some description and backup to an external drive

you can't connect a 2.5" IDE drive to standard desktop IDE connection without an adapter or external caddy, the connections are different (you can with a 2.5" SATA as it's the same connections)
