    poping sounds in 5.1 setup?

ive only noticed this since i setup my new amp, since setting up only about a week ago i was listening to music and i noticed what i can only describe as a slight "pop" in my sub?? wtf i mean i cant say i noticed it in any of the speakers im pretty sure its just the sub but how do i tackle this?? its definatly something to do with the amp as my old amp didnt do it i was watching a movie on my ps3 which is also hooked upto the amp and funnily enough it also did it, however! if its turned out rreal loud i dont really notice any pops at all?? anyone got any ideas??

Re: poping sounds in 5.1 setup?

I have a similar thing on my amp (HK AVR255), but its only when I swap audio sources or if the input is set to auto and it switches itself to logic 7, then when there is real input it switches to DD5.1. It doesnt do it during playback though..

I had this recently having changed motherboard and installed the drivers on the disc.

I then "updated" the drivers to an older version.

cured the problem. Running Windows 7 64-bit

Re: poping sounds in 5.1 setup?

Motherboard soundcards cant have alot of sound, as power cables cross close, and its hard to get a steady powersource to onboard sound cards

My sub starts making a popping sound if I put the wireless router ontop of it. Are you sure theres nothing like that near the sub? a wifi card or anything like that

    Kill the fish!
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
