Hey i was just wondering to restore a acer aspire 1670 laptop do i need a xp restore disk and if not how do i restore ?????

have you tried boot menu is there a partition on the hard drive with the recovery software on. if not you'll need a cd

Boot menu should be pressing F12 on startup iirc.

Friend just got an Acer Aspire One running XP and it requires the user to create the recovery discs. If you (or the owner) hasn't done this then you might have to contact Acer.
I remember this because the netbook doesn't have an optical drive, so I have got to borrow a USB dvd writer so I can create the recovery discs. Does any one else think this is taking the pee a bit?

not really if you wanna buy half a laptop expect to get half the features,
just kidding kinda
why dont you setup a usb recovery stick on a usb flash drive, very easy to do i have one for doing restores on netbooks
