    Firefox proxy doesn't work

I've got an interesting problem here.

At work i have to use a proxy to conect to the internet which is fine.

Now it's an automtic config proxy so something like 'http://random/morerandom.pac'

But when i put this into firefox it doesn't load. But if a mannualy add the proxy it's fine.

The intresting thing with it though is that it works fine with IE, chrome and i've seen it done on a ipod touch.

I half wonder if it's something to due with the fact that i've got 'Weave' installed on firefox. But i did also try it on another pc with firefox and it didn't work but i may not have remembered the proxy correctly.

    Anyone got any idea's.

FoxyProxy might help you out with what you need, although I'm not sure, as I haven't got around to trying it myself yet. Heard good things about it though: http://foxyproxy.mozdev.org/index.html

    • If it's working (manually), then what's the problem?
    • What does an ipod have to do with it?.. If it's working on IE, then I'm guessing that Firefox is the problem?

Have you tried a new profile (which probably has nothing to do with it) @ support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles

P.S. Maybe that config script isn't working w/Mozilla << though it works w/Chrome, hm.
