My graphics card (8800 GTS) has been seriously playing up lately. Nearly all games are crashing on me regardless of the settings. I can play Left 4 Dead 2 with everything on high at 1400 * 900 for 15 minutes before it freezes and I have to quit to desktop. Does the exact same thing with everything on lowest settings.
I downloaded the latest drivers from the nVidia website and installed them. Halfway through the installing it said it couldn't install them and I had to revert back to the previous drivers. It apparently did this then I got prompted to restart. I did so then when it booted back into windows I had no display. Booted into safe mode and from there I tried to update the drivers or roll them back, couldn't do either - said I had the latest drivers. I'm writing this whilst in safe mode, still no display in windows.
Pretty obvious this is a driver issue, no idea how to solve it though. Can't update drivers neither can I roll them back, so I'm stuck with the ones I've got (and any I download don't work) which seem to not give me a display in windows.
Any ideas?

. So I'm not back in Vista with a display, going to test it for a while.
