    Capture Card for X360

Right, I'll get straight to the point, i want to record my game play on the X360. I've read about capture cards before but i actually have no idea how they work, what I'm looking for and what not.

I've got a X360 Elite and want to record the game play in 720p or above but am limited to using my laptop for this.

Can anyone help me with this issue? Money-wise i don't mind how much i spend but bare in mind I'm a student lol, so broke lol. Credit cards (L).

    Re: Capture Card for X360

I think its going to be quite hard to do on a laptop and the probable answer is its not possible.

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    Re: Capture Card for X360

Well i can probably drag my old desktop back in here, if i can somehow get it in a smaller case it'd help. So forget it's a laptop for now? lol.

Thanks for the speedy reply .

    Re: Capture Card for X360

There are plenty of capture PCI cards available for standard PC's but too capture HD its probably going to be quite expensive - circa £300 looking on Scan.

    Re: Capture Card for X360

Ouch, £300 just to record your Gameplay? I know it's HD but still that's a little more expensive than what i was expecting.

I'm guessing even recording in 480p isn't that bad but as I've not really seen any results i can't really tell the difference.

    You could try this http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Blackmagic-Intensity-Pro
Probably need a beefy CPU to cope with the data though!

    Re: Capture Card for X360

I'd actually heard about this card already, reasonable price as well. Just wondering if my CPU can handle it. It's an old AMD FX-57 single core.

I'd say probably not, i think you would be best looking at a tri or quad core.

Yeah something i can't quiet afford at the moment. If i manage to get myself a job thennn I'll probably upgrade the thing. Although it'll cost me a fair bit.
