Got a 19" LG widescreen monitor here that i want to wall mount, i managed to get the circular base off the bottom but i cant get the "stem" off that goes into the monitor itself, according to the manual you just bend and pull..it really isnt moving and im hanging off it. Anybody have any tips to remove it !?

Tempted...it really should come off, i remember it going on and clicking in, i mean..im a strong enough guy but i cant get it to budge, there must be a nack to it.
although it says in the manual it does come off, we've got a 22" LG monitor here that came with the spine already attached and as i remember quite difficult to remove - its now got the base on and sits on a desk

Yeah, granted i didn't look in the manual but the monitor has the VESA holes so I assumed it should come off otherwise it would look stupid.

the back comes off LG tellys easy, you should be able to get at it a bit better once you have a clear view of the stand
There is a nack to getting the stand off my monitor, the snaps that you heard putting it on, were more than likely plastic tabs snapping into place, locking it in, to pull it off, the easiest way is to find out where the tabs are and press them in, allowing for an easy release, the harder way is to try and twist/bend the stand so that the tabs move away from their position, allowing you to pull the stand off.
Alternatively, are there no accessible bolts holding the whole assembly on?

No way in hell is that coming off, ive given up.
Il just keep it with the base on (its only for a spare bench anyway), until i buy a 120hz monitor then il use my current 24" dell as the test monitor
