Hello guys,
First of all,I would like to thank you for all the brilliant solutions you always provide to the technical problems we face. I hope you’ll be able to solve mine.
I have XP(SP2) and Windows 7 Ultimate on my PC.
My PC has ADI Soundmax drivers for the onboard Sound Card on my ASUS P5Q-E mobo.I have a Creative T6100 5.1 Speaker configured to it. Now since quite few days, on XP, the Soundmax Audio software suddenly fails to identify my speaker set & as a result I get no sound when I play any audio or video files. When I click on Sounds and Audio Devices in Control Panel,it says ‘Failed to recognize Hardware’. The surprising part is that, when I reboot XP, the problem gets fixed, but only temporarily.
The same configuration is there on my Windows 7 Ultimate but I do not face this problem over there.
I have tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them but the problem remains. I have scanned my system for virus,Trojans, adware, malware, spyware but system is clean.
Please help.
