I'm running an Asus M3A78-VM board (using onboard graphics) and am trying to install a Blackmagic Decklink HD Extreme capture card (PCIe x4) in the PCIe x16 slot. The fan on the board is working so it's definitely getting power, but the computer won't see it at all.

Is it possible that for this board the PCIe slot is strictly graphics only and I can't use a different type of card in it? Or (hopefully) am I missing something in the BIOS to turn PCIe on ?
