    Question Win7 CD-Rom driver issues???

For some bizarre reason Win7 has decided NOT to recognise my DVD drives any more. It seems Win7 is saying cdrom.sys is NOT digitally signed, but it seems genuine.

    I have tried:

1)Uninstalling, rebooting & reinstalling the devices.
2)Removing cdrom.sys to force windows into reinstalling it, but TrustedInstaller wont let me & I can't change permissions, even as Admin.
3)Physically unplugging the drives & swapping them to try & get windows to reinstall the driver, but got the same result.

    What next knowledgeable HEXUS peeps?

have you tried removing and resinatlling the controller drivers or updating the chipset drivers? Also try turning off Disable Driver Signature Enforcement

Best answer I found here >>> http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cd_dvd_drive_problems. Ran the Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting Services app & job done
