OS X and Windows 7

Hello,

Had a macbookpro for the past few days and enjoyed using OS X so thought i'd give a go loading it onto my machine.

I have two HDD's so will just be putting OSX onto the secondary HDD that's mainly used for films, music etc.

Will that be ok or will it not go on as simply as that?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean but you cant just load OSX onto a PC if thats what you mean. Apple block it's install onto any non approved hardware, (ie anything that wasnt originally sold as a mac)

If you did want to do that you would have to use a specially modified package, that is of questionable legality and against Apple's T&C's loading OSX onto non approved hardware.

I wont give the names of the packages, as HeXus (rightly) frowns on this sort of discussion on the forums. Suffice to say they are available on file sharing networks. There is also a Wikipedia page which describes the various efforts to create a "Hackintosh" and the legality behind such projects.

legality aside its a real pain to get it to work so not really sure if its worth the hassle

I tried (and failed ) last year so gave up and splashed the cash on a MacBook Pro. Some nice intuitive features on it.
