    KVM Switch

Hi, I have two machines (a desktop PC and a MacBook Pro) that I want to share a keyboard, mouse and monitor with. After doing some searching today I've found out that what it is I need is a KVM switch (I think?) I've seen a few already but what I'm after is at least 1 HDMI port as my desktop PC connects to my monitor through HDMI. With regard to my MacBook though, I do not know what type of connection this would use (mini display to DVI is my guess). Is anybody able to help me find this KVM thingy for my needs?

    Thanks

I don't think Synergy lets you share a monitor. Have a look at the Aten KVMs on Scan, I'm not sure what connector a Mac would use though, possibly a DisplayPort?

Geffen and Adder do some really high quality KVMs we use them at work quite a bit.

I don't understand why they charge so much for HDMI interfaces! Would be cheaper for me to keep my old 19" TFT and buy a cheap keyboard & mouse what do you think?

    Re: KVM Switch

HDMI is basically DVI+audio so you could use adapters to change it to DVI and use a DVI KVM.

If DVI + USB is what you can settle on Belkin F1DG102DUK works great between MAC and a PC...
