Angry Black gold signature under win7 x64

): I need a little bit of help here

I've got this card from the hexus classifieds and yes, I was an idiot enough not to check the drivers for it in advance.

Did anyone managed to make it work under vista/7 or linux?

2nd question, did anyone used a tv-tuner in a virtualized os?

    thanks in advance guys.

I can't answer the drivers issue, but I can for a virtualised OS. The only hardware you can really share with a virtualised OS is USB devices. You can't access PCI/PCIe cards in anything other than the host OS. So you won't be able to get this running on a virtual machine unfortunitely.

Re: Black gold signature under win7 x64

Being 32bit only is not unusual for TV cards.

I have a couple of Pinnacle dual tuner PCIe cards that install just fine, without any driver complaints under W7 64bit, but refuse to tune properly. They pick up a few channels, but only a fraction of those available. On a 32bit system they work very well or so I'm told.

I've heard of others that are 32bit only as well.

I have a couple of Hauppauge Nova-T 500s at the moment giving me 4 tuners. They are by no means perfect, but they are stable and work well. They have issues if you put your system to sleep as they take some time to wake again. MediaPortal has a delay option specifically introduced for these cards, but I don't use it as my TVServer never sleeps. They may work for yoiuif you still wanted to run them in a virtualised environment as they are really two DVB-T tuners and a USB controller on a single PCI card.
