I'm trying to work my macbook pro with my tv by using a wireless keyboard and mouse, I'd really like to be able to power up and down without having to open my macbook, does anyone know if this is possible?

I don't think there is a way but you could use the apple remote see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Remote
Thanks but i think i'll have the same problem, i can only use sleep mode with a remote, not actually power the mac up and down
