How to remove 'select os' from startup menu

Recently i've been playing around with multiboot option and have been installing other OS's such as Linux.

To add them to my boot menu i used EasyBCD as i wanted to keep the Win Bootloader.

Anyway, to cut a long story short i removed them all apart from Win 7 and deleted them from the bootloader.

The problem is it still pops up asking me which OS to boot into even though i know only have one.
How do i stop it doing this and make it go back to how it was before.

I know it's probably a simple option but i can't seem to figure it out.

    Thanks in advance.

Re: How to remove 'select os' from startup menu

Are the other options actually shown on the boot menu? or is it just Windows 7 now?

If there really is only 1 option there, Windows should just boot without waiting.

You could also always set the timeout to 0

It was so much easier when it was just boot.ini...

Re: How to remove 'select os' from startup menu

Not sure about easy boot (I use grub for multi-booting)

If there is an easyboot ini or configuration file, is there a default OS? Or can you re-install the win7 boot loader which should bypass (or remove) easyboot?

Re: How to remove 'select os' from startup menu

You should be able to do it via EasyBCD, but it's a long time since I used it so not sure. I would just "repair the windows installation" using the disc, which should refresh the bootloader.

Re: How to remove 'select os' from startup menu

Think i may have cracked it.

In EasyBCD there was an option for 'Skip the boot menu' which i had missed and was unchecked.

Fingers crossed that did the trick.

    Thanks anyway guys.
