Adobe Student and Teacher Guidance Please ...

My Step Mum is a teacher at a Primary school, and I figured that maybe I could buy and run Adobe Lightroom and possibly Photoshop CS5 so she could use it on my PC, is that something that I can do ?
It would of course have the added benefit that I could use it too

Not reason why you couldn't do it. Your step mum would probably have to show a scan/copy of ID/proof she was a teacher.

Adobe won't be checking up on you to make sure it's only your step mum using it.

    It's better than piracy.

Thanks for coming back to me

When you say 'show' would that mean scanning a copy and then having the software sent to her address? She lives about 1/2 mile round the corner from me but doesn't have a PC at her home, only a little lappy which isn't much cop for processing large SLR produced photo's!! Unlike the 30" NEC Display sitting in my office

Also do you have any recommendations as to where to purchase the s'ware from? Thers plenty of places advertising - from Fleabay to Adobe themselves, just wondered if there was any difference??

Re: Adobe Student and Teacher Guidance Please ...

I wouldn't buy software off ebay, not worth the risk really.

    I'd get from this link:

    Re; Id

What kind of evidence of eligibility is needed?

The following is needed from students and teachers to provide evidence of eligibility:
    Students

Students must provide a photocopy of a valid, current student ID that includes the student’s name, date, and a photo. If the student does not have such an ID, he or she must instead provide a photocopy of a valid photo ID and one of the following items:

Official, current non-photo student ID with name and date
Official, current school transcript indicating name of school and student
Official, current school tuition bill indicating name of school and student
Official, current report card indicating name of school and student
Other official dated proof of enrollment

Students who are under 18 and do not have a valid photo ID may provide an official letter from their eligible educational institution stating their name and current enrollment status.
    Teachers, faculty, and staff

Teachers, faculty, and staff must provide a photocopy of a valid, current school ID that includes the educator’s name, date, and a photo. If the educator does not have such an ID, she or he must instead provide a photocopy of a valid photo ID and one of the following items:

    Faculty or staff paycheck stub
An official letter from the registrar of the educational entity

Re: Adobe Student and Teacher Guidance Please ...

there are websites that sell specifically student type licenses for a whole host of software, I use one for my son's PC, I only had to put his name and school and they had a mthod of checking this before the sold the license, prices are very good and Adobe CS5 is included

Generally if you purchase the box from amazon or such it will be empty, or come with the CD, but no key.
To obtain that part you need to get your mum to fill out the included form and generally photocopy a copy of her ID card to show her entitlement.

Adobe will then send on a license key for the products you have purchased.
