    Restoring a laptop (cleaning!)

Bassically i've noticed the laptop has slowed down alot, hdd seems full of crap and in general it runs sluggish, now i tend to use it for games (odd i know but so what ) also for youtube/videos on the net using flash and such, but the laptop seems to but jumpy on videos well more choppy.

Games TBH seem to run fine but i want to speed windows up, so does anyone have any suggestions on the best thing i can do for this? like cleanup driver reinstall and such? im so unsure..thanks!

recover windows to factory settings, also dust has probably built up slowing it down.
Many laptops depending on the make though are easy to get into and clean. Acers
normally allow you to just rip the back cover off and get to the cpu etc.

Have a look on ebay and see how much cpu's are going for.

ahh HP aye normally they are annoying to take apart. You can normally upgrade a cpu with one
in the same family no probs even if the bus speed is different. look at the amd site and find your
cpu then you can see what ones are in the same family
