    Ipod touch apps store

Ipod is up to date (ver 4.2.1) but for some reason when I select the games category i'm told ' your request could not be completed' Yet I can access all the other categories! However, with some of the categories when I get to the bottom and select '25 more', it just dumps me back at the main screen.

I have done a restore via itunes- no difference! (I though the restore would take the update off, but it did not)

Any ideas on what to try?

Tried the games category today and got into it, but when I then tried again it did not work.

Yeah I saw that too- but wandered if it was software related, as a friend has no issue on his iphone.

    Cheers

No problem from my iPod, do you think it could be related to your Xbox / router issue?

I don't see how it could as a lot of people seem to have the same issue. No problem looking at the itunes music store or watching youtube videos. As for the router/xbox issue i'm able to join to a family member ok, just not some friends- again others have the same issues (and NAT is open).

I'll see what its like in a few days, and test in another wifi area.

Was just a thought, I had almost identical problems with the Xbox (although not as persistent) and Android Market before I switched router.

I'll be trying a direct connect to the modem soon to see if that sorts the xbox. Looking at a new router to replace the one I have, but still undecided! As for the games category on the ipod, it did start working again for a bit. Thing is all the other categories open ok, apart from some closing when you select to show more.

Will just have to wait a bit until I can have a proper look through the app store. In the mean time having fun, with some of the free games I managed to get.

    Re: Ipod touch apps store

App store on my touch seems to be working ok today, and some of the category icons in the app store seem to have changed- very odd. I did load some new music onto it today, but did not notice any update. Unless apple sneaked the update in?
