New Samsung monitor giving me BSOD

    Hi,

Apologies for the long thread, but just wanted to provide all of the information as I was up till 5am trying to solve this and getting a bit desperate!

Got a new Samsung monitor to replace my old generic PnP TFT monitor. Updated my ATI graphics card drivers, as I haven't updated them in a while. Hooked the Samsung monitor up, installed the drivers, restarted it, changed resolution and the computer now just keeps giving me various blue screen crashes. They have been a few different ones from:

    Error with sys32
    System_Exception_Error
    Paged_File_In_A_Non_Paged_Area
IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal (It is now just mainly giving me this error)

I don't know if it is a virus, the new graphics card drivers, or the new monitor drivers.

I've noticed it also crashes when I try to access the log files in the winevt folder, and when the memory dumps folder is around four hundred MB, it doesn't even let me load up Vista in any mode. Using the Vista disc, I have to delete these before it will work, by deleting the log filed through CMD in the Repair mode.

On the few occasions it does let me load Vista up, I get this pop-up:

Re: New Samsung monitor giving me BSOD

Just an update for anyone who finds this thread from Google. Seems to be working now, after taking advice from somebody on vistax64 forums. I removed Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120% which both use SPTD, and made sure I uninstalled it using the prog here: http://www.duplexsecure.com/downloads/

    No BSODs so far.
