    iPod Touch charging help

The battery in my iPod Touch ran down to flat last week, which in itself isn't particularly unexpected. The problem is that now it won't charge back up. I've tried 2 different cables, mains power, USB, different USB slots and nothing seems to be working. All that happens is the screen turns on with the large, empty battery picture with a lightning bolt beneath it. I really don't think it's a battery problem because I replaced that only the other month and it was working flawlessly afterwards.

Has anyone had any similar woes or have any advice?

    Thanks,
    Michael

Is it easy to get to the battery? If it is, check for a date, it maybe that you were sold a battery that has been on the shelf for a long time.

It isnt un heard of for a battery to go faulty early. Was it a official Apple battery or a ebay Jobbie?

It was an ebay jobbie. I've been away for a bit so I haven't been available to persue this until now.

    Narp

I'll try and have a look at the date on the battery when I can re-find a small enough screwdriver.

Have you left it charging for some time (say an hour) as when the batteries run flat the iPod's will sit they're showing a logo for sometime (much like the one your describing) before they can be used again.
