New computer squealing under gaming/heavy load

I have recently build myself a new computer, and I've noticed that in cut scenes or game play, the computer makes a high pitched squeal/whine. I originally thought it was the new graphics card, but placing my ear next to the PC while Call of Duty: Black Ops was loaded on maximum graphics, it appears to be the PSU causing this. Is this a sign of a faulty or underpowered PSU? Or could it be the graphics card?

    The system is:

    Intel Core i7-2600K
    Asus P8P67
    8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1333MHz
    KFA2 Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 1536MB
    OCZ Vertex 2 60GB
2x 1TB Western Digital 7,200RPM Green data storage drives (kept from old system)
1x 2TB Western Digital 7,200RPM Greed backup only drive
LG DVDRW (kept from old system)
    Corsair Hydro H70 CPU Cooler
Creative X-Fi Xtreme PCI-E x1 (kept from old system)
4x 120mm case fans (kept from old system)
1x 200mm case fan (kept from old system)

CoolMaster 700W 80 Plus is the PSU.

Have same PSU on daughters PC. Never squeals under load. Could be faulty one?

I also have a CM 700W PSU and I've never heard anything like this. Your set up is hungrier than mine but not enough that the PSU couldn't cope.
    Perhaps Blueball is correct?

Re: New computer squealing under gaming/heavy load

I am also with blueball here, its a good quality PSU it should not be squealing even under load, if you are sure that is where the noise is comming from I would look at replacing it.

I remember that when I played Crysis on my Thermaltake 700W PSU, my 8800GT would cause the graphics card to squeak. I guess it's just natural ?

Re: New computer squealing under gaming/heavy load

i know this sounds dumb, but it's not coming from the H70 is it? Some reports say the pumps on the hydro coolers make a perceptible noise - though I don't own one so I really can't say if it would sound like a whine.

Whine is not good. These sort of components shouldn't whine. Is everything connected properly? Did the PSU have a plastic insert to stop the fan blades spinning during transit? I had this on one PSU I bought, though to be fair it had a big sticker on it telling me to remove the thing before use.
