Google chrome + shockwave plugin crashing?
Hey
I've had this problem develop on all 3 of my machines over the past week, presumably due to an update of some sort somewhere.
Does anybody else have this issue or have any advice that could help me solve it?

Yeah. I've had this exact problem for a week or so. Doesn't seem to be a fix available for it. Getting pretty close to dropping Chrome over this :(
Re: Google chrome + shockwave plugin crashing?
What version are you running of Flash?
I\'ve got Flash - Version: 10.2.154.18, Shockwave Flash 10.2 r154 and no crashes here on Chrome.

Yea I\'ve been trawling the net looking for a fix but I can\'t find anything. I\'d swap browsers in a heartbeat but I really loathe everything else
Re: Google chrome + shockwave plugin crashing?
I thought Chrome came with Flash? Have you tried a Chrome dev build?

Was thinking the same, pretty sure I didn't need to install flash seperately.
Re: Google chrome + shockwave plugin crashing?
I havent had any issues with chrome crashing whilst using flash...
Re: Google chrome + shockwave plugin crashing?
Yes flash is now integrated in chrome. Check for a chrome update - I had a similar issue which went away with the latest update.
Re: Google chrome + shockwave plugin crashing?
Same for me - pop-up message : "The following plug-in has crashed: Shockwave Flash".
I've had to stop using Chrome and go back to Firefox. The problem seems to be the latest version of Shockwave Flash. I'm very disappointed as I've really got to like Chrome over the last year or so.
Hopefully there'll be a fix in the next update - it's been reported many times to Google.

For those still having problems with Shockwave in Chrome look at this:

I have just followed the advice in the post by Toni (Googler) i.e. updated to latest version of Chrome and un-installed Shockwave Flash Player Plug-In and this seems to have worked, though I've only given it a short trial so far - played a few youtube videos.
Of course this means that Firefox doesn't have Flash Player available.......
