    Finding an IP Address

... of an external network hard drive without resetting the thing. Its on a static IP which was set ages ago and noone knows what it is. Is there a program which could scan for devices on the network and get their IPs?

Thought I'd use your collective might.

Has this been manually registered within DNS zone?
Do you have access to your DHCP reservations?

    Re: Finding an IP Address

No, its not mine, its at a company I'm going over to. I think an IP scanner will do the trick! Just have to try it.

It was a backup drive for their old server (now busted) so need to see if I can salvage anything off of it.

This kind of stuff often gets false-positives as malware by the way
