    4870x2 Artifact issues in games...

Hi guys, I just upgraded my 4890 to a 4870x2 and installed the latest catalyst drivers in the process. I done a clean install by removing all previous drivers etc before installing new, however, I'm getting artifacting in almost all games I play

Crysis = tiny black dots outlining most objects

BCBF2 = large black dots all over screen (cant really see anything for them being in the way)

Unigen Heaven benchmark = small black dots everywhere

Far Cry 2 = Massive black square covering entire screen... can see edges of screen if I look down at players feet

Call of Pripyat = This just went to level loading screen and sat there after it had loaded for 5 minutes, had to restart game. HDDs were still active.

New Vegas = same tiny black dots around edges of everything (i believe this is AA related as anything that wasn't an edge was fine...)

    Any advice?

Re: 4870x2 Artifact issues in games...

Ok.. after reseting my 3D settings in CCC issues with all games fixed apart from the stuck at call of pripyat loading screen.

I therefore don't think its the card, is adaptive anti aliasing (AAA) know to cause problems in most games?

With call of pripyat, the levels load fine in dx9 but not dx10.1

    UPDATE...

Having slept on it, woke up today before I head off to work and quickly looked on the net for what everyone was recommending as the "best" drivers for the 4870x2. catalyst 10.5a hotfix kept coming up.

After installing 10.5a which is nearly a year old now every game runs sweet as a nut, no problems with call of pripyat either... really seeing the power of this ageing, but still mightily powerful beast
