I recently built a budget gaming rig and have just noticed my CPU temps seem a bit too low! I'm using an 'AMD ATHLON II X4 645' CPU along with an 'ASUS M4A88TD-M EVO/USB3' motherboard. I'm not sure if the temp sensors on the motherboard are wrong or maybe it's a problem with the CPU sensors?
These are the temps i'm getting right now using HWMonitor (idle temps):
CPU Temp - 31C (usually around 55C at load)
Mainboard - 25C (usually around 30C at load)
Core#0 - 16C (all cores are usually around 35C at load... still a bit too low)
Core#1 - 16C
Core#2 - 16C
Core#3 - 16C
I get the same results whatever software i use to check the temps. The motherboard hardware monitoring sensor is being detected as 'ITE IT8721F'. I'm using the stock AMD heatsink and running the CPU at stock speed and voltage. My case (In Win Dragon Slayer) has 2 x intake fans on the front and 2 x exhaust fans (one at the rear and one at the top).
Anyone have any ideas? Cheers
Also... my room temp at the moment is 21C
