    PSU Ticking - RMA time?

    Hey guys,

The fan on my XFX Pro 750w PSU is ticking and I wanted to make a video to demonstrate this. Excuse the lousy video and audio. It's definitely the fan and otherwise it seems fine. What do you think?

Have you checked the fan yourself to see if you can see anything physically wrong with it? Obviously ensure there are no obstructions too. If its a matter of it making this noise when you first bought it, it may be best to return it. Or has it developed over time?

It was there when I first bought it, I inspected the PSU with a torch and as much as I can see, there's nothing obstructing it, may be the fan bearing. It's only about 2 months old so may return it for a refund and get something with less power but modular. Scan often have the Coolermaster 650w Gold Pro on offer for about the same price as I bought this, and I do want modularity.

Have you contacted the shop about it previous as it has been happening since you bought it? It'd be best for you to return to them I'd say, as it shouldn't be clicking.

Ball bearing on PSU fan. It should be under warranty. arrange RMA with e-tailer.
