Re: Crysis 15fps high spec rig

I have installed all the drivers that came with the Nvidia disc. I can check again but the card only came out a few weeks ago so it should not be a problem. It runs the heaven benchmark on high at 40-80 fps

Run the 32 bit exe. The 64 one seems to not work properly in a lot of cases

The disc drivers will be quite old. Uninstall completely and reinstall latest set from here.

I wonder if there is something about your building, perhaps a CPU HSF which isnt seated fully, which is causing higher temps and therefore throttling.
Do you know how to measure your CPU and GPU temps?

How come? The 560 only just came out so will have come with recent enough drivers to support it surely?

Re: Crysis 15fps high spec rig

Check you haven't got some odd power settings that are running the CPU at a low speed - we saw a rash of that about a year ago

Best way to check is to download CPU-Z, run something that should load the CPU, and check the clock speed ramps up to whatever the stock clock of the 2500K is.

    Sure - It is supported.
But as the drivers are interchangeable between models, the discs will be produced in giant job lots some months ago in a timeline that would be entirely separate from the model deliveries.
I would be very surprised if the disc driver isn't at least 1 or two versions behind.

I was going mad when i was getting 11fps on it, until I discovered the 32bit version. Have you run it from the 32bit bin directory. it will default to 64bit if you run it from anywhere else

Also how much RAM you got, it ran a bit rubbish for me until I upgraded to 4gb. Are other games running ok?

    Try downloading the patch too.

Re: Crysis 15fps high spec rig

    1. download all crysis patches
    2. check for any processes running in the background whilst playing, dont want to be doing something processor intensive in game.
    3. download the latest nvidia drivers, just throw out the disk when you buy a new GPU in future.
    4. check your heatsinks as said above, that can cause throtteling
    5. if you have annother graphics card check with that, no need if all other games run fine tho
