ADSL Monitoring

I'm getting involved in a campaign to improve our local broadband. Can any one recommend a software monitoring tool that a dummy could run and will plot the characteristics of the network over time ?

I'd like to monitor latency, bandwidth and packet loss. All help would be gratefully received.

Not sure those quantify as being in any way scientific.

You need to also look at sync speed, attenuation, snr too.

Also different routers will give different values on the same line. Also the ISP too.

Ie... it'll be almost impossible to prove anything apart from it being crap!

monitoring latency and packet loss is easy. Monitoring bandwidth is harder, I can only think of running bandwidth tests on a regular basis. I use pingplotter to monitor latency/packet loss.
